A Florida mother has been charged after her 4-year-old daughter drowned during a pool party at an apartment complex in Bradenton.

Child Found Underwater

Police said the incident happened Saturday night at the Kendall Ridge Apartment Complex. The child was found at the bottom of the pool after being underwater for several minutes. First responders performed CPR before she was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Mother Arrested

Authorities arrested 32-year-old Rosette Pierrecius and charged her with child neglect resulting in great bodily harm. Investigators said a large group of people, including family members, were at the pool during the incident.

Pierrecius remains in custody on a $5,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
