A California man was convicted of murder after prosecutors said he shot and killed his girlfriend, her twin sister, and her brother-in-law during an argument in 2020.

California Man Found Guilty in Triple Murder Case

Eric Otto White was found guilty of first-degree murder on April 30 in San Bernardino County for the deaths of Kavina Brooks, Kavona Brooks-Lee, and Kenneth Lee.

According to prosecutors, the shooting happened at Brooks’ home in Redlands, California, in August 2020.

Argument Escalated Before Shooting

Trial testimony revealed that White became angry during an argument involving his karaoke speaker and disagreements over Brooks’ parenting style.

Witnesses said Brooks told White to “calm down” after he allegedly pulled out a gun. Kenneth Lee also tried to stop the situation before the shooting began.

Prosecutors said White fired multiple shots, killing all three victims.

Daughter Witnessed Deadly Attack

Brooks’ teenage daughter, who was 14 at the time, testified during the trial. She said White was upset because Brooks had touched his karaoke speaker and had asked him to move out the day before the shooting.

The daughter reportedly hid during the attack and survived.

Suspect Fled After Killings

Police said White fled after the shooting and later traveled to Las Vegas, where he was arrested weeks later.

Reports stated that White was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and had a history of bipolar and depressive episodes.

Prosecutors argued the shooting happened because White felt he was losing control of the relationship and situation around him.

White has not yet been sentenced and could face the death penalty because the case involved multiple murders.
