Travis Juhr, a 41-year-old U.S. Navy veteran from Oregon, was arrested Friday at a Portland federal courthouse immediately after pleading not guilty to threatening President Donald Trump and ICE supporters via social media posts from last year. He faces new state charges of second-degree arson, reckless burning, and criminal mischief tied to a February 3 vandalism near an ICE building on South Bancroft Street.
Threats Case
Juhr allegedly posted threats like “I can’t wait till Trump is dead,” wanting to “mag dump Trump,” and targeting a mother-son duo at an ICE “Patriots Night” counterprotest with messages such as “Divine punishment will be the price for your wickedness” and “Excited for the obituaries.” He also menaced a Nevada commissioner, claiming “I’m coming down to Nevada for you” and referencing “#MAGAHuntersPDX.”
Weapons and Background
FBI raids in February uncovered AR-style rifles, shotguns, Tannerite explosives, and other arms at his home, following a Portland police extreme risk protection order for escalating hostility toward officers. A prior paramedic and IT professional, Juhr protested at the ICE site wearing a bomber jacket and Captain America shield.
Court Status
The dual cases highlight his alleged anti-Trump and anti-ICE fixation amid a weapons stockpile; he remains detained as proceedings continue.
