Adam Midgett, 43, Ronna Midgett Matthews, 51, Bonnie Midgett, 74, and Rebekah Broome, 51, face first-offense voyeurism charges in Charleston County, South Carolina, for allegedly installing four hidden cameras inside and around a woman’s Barrington Lane home.
Incident Discovery
On September 6, 2025, the victim, Midgett’s ex-wife, found a black camera behind her living room couch aimed at the front door and noticed a ceiling air conditioning vent ajar above her bed. The next day, police located three more: one hidden outside under leaves, another on the balcony facing her bedroom, and a fourth on a pickup truck registered to Adam Midgett. SD card footage confirmed the group—identified as Midgett, his sister, mother, and family friend—installing the devices, with suspicions of unauthorized entry via the storm door, though no forced entry was evident after she changed locks in February.
Suspect Backgrounds and Response
Adam Midgett serves as a Charleston County School District security operations coordinator and part-time Edisto Beach Police patrol officer, placed on unpaid administrative leave pending criminal and internal affairs probes. Investigators noted Midgett added himself to his ex-wife’s son’s phone plan for call record access and that she accessed his texts evidencing involvement. All four remain in Charleston County Jail.
