Savannah, Georgia — Monday afternoon was mostly sunny and pleasant. A cold front swept into the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry early in the day, bringing in colder, drier air.
Temperatures rose into the upper 60s to lower 70s for the majority of the area in the afternoon, but conditions will cool overnight.
Tuesday morning will be largely sunny and cool.
Inland, temperatures will range from the low to mid-40s. Temperatures in coastal communities will fall into the low 50s.
The sky will be mostly sunny again, thanks to a strong ridge of high pressure over the region and a brief cold front that passed through Monday morning. Tuesday afternoon temperatures will be milder than Monday, with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
Temperatures are forecast to rise further throughout the week. From Wednesday to Saturday, afternoon high temperatures will reach the lower to mid-80s.
The average high temperature in Savannah during mid-November is 70°F.
Changes are on the way for the weekend, with a stronger cold front expected to arrive on Saturday. A few isolated showers or storms are predicted to form on Saturday afternoon.
The majority of places will not receive any rainfall. Most computer forecasts predict rainfall totals between 0.01″ and 0.10″.
On Sunday, weather will return to be slightly cooler and drier. Afternoon high temperatures will return to the 70s, but will remain above normal into the early part of next week.
For the next few weeks, Georgia and South Carolina will see a dry weather trend. Drought conditions will certainly remain and intensify for the rest of the fall and winter.
