North Charleston, South Carolina – North Charleston police promptly apprehended a guy in connection with an armed robbery at a Dorchester Road gas station.
Officers arrived to an Exxon station shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday following a complaint of an armed robbery. According to the agency, the store employee informed officers that the suspect had one hand in his pocket during the altercation, leading her to believe he was armed.
The responding cops inspected security footage and captured clear photographs of both the suspect and the car involved in the incident.
“An officer soon discovered the suspect car near Rivers Avenue and Helm Avenue and conducted a felony traffic stop. The motorist, 39-year-old Antonio Brown of Awendaw, was taken into custody without incident, according to the NCPD.
Brown is charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base.
“The department commends the quick response and coordinated efforts of the officers involved, which led to the prompt arrest of the suspect,” according to the organization.
Brown was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
