SOUTH CAROLINA— Colleton County Fire-Rescue reported that four people and two dogs died in a crash on Green Pond Highway earlier this week.
The accident occurred on November 3 along a rural route near Walterboro. According to fire and rescue personnel, the crash killed an 8-year-old child, a 16-year-old, and a lady driving a Volkswagen Jetta.
The driver of the minivan involved in the incident died, as did two dogs inside the car. Crews said that the dogs were buried in the bushes near the crash scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
