Oconee County, South Carolina. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announced two more arrests on Friday in a drug round-up operation that began on October 1.
The sheriff’s office says it acquired 35 warrants on 23 people after undercover agents made controlled purchases of narcotics. The narcotics purchased included fentanyl, methamphetamine, and prescription drugs.
Deputies said that 16 persons had been apprehended as of Friday morning.
Susan Marie Smith, 47, of West Union, was recently arrested and charged with two counts of methamphetamine distribution. She was detained on Playground Road on a warrant and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Thursday, where she was given a $70,000 surety bond, according to officials.
Deputies report. Susan Nicole Smith, 23, was also detained on Playground Road after telling deputies she didn’t see Susan Marie Smith before being discovered hiding in the same room. She was charged with accessory after the fact of a felony and sent to the Oconee County Detention Center, where she was released on a $10,000 bail.
