The Chester County School District has conveyed its sympathies on the passing of Michael Scott Griffin Jr., a Great Falls High School student.
Griffin was an active member of the Great Falls High School community, taking part in athletics and the JROTC program.
His peers and teachers admired his contributions, and they are now mourning his departure.
“We are truly one district, and when one part of our family is hurting, we are all hurting,” the Chester County School District said in a condolence letter.
Griffin’s funeral ceremony will be place at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Great Falls.
The service is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m., with the family greeting visitors from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
