CHARLESTON, S.C. – Drivers heading through downtown Charleston Thursday night should be prepared for traffic safety checkpoints, as the Charleston Police Department continues efforts to curb unsafe driving.
When and Where the Checkpoints Will Be
Police announced that checkpoints will be conducted on Thursday, from 9 p.m. to midnight, at two downtown locations:
Calhoun Street near Courtney Street
Morrison Drive near Blake Street
Officers will be looking for signs of impaired or unsafe driving and reminding the public about the importance of planning ahead.
