Brides and grooms-to-be are welcomed to the 18th annual Charleston Bridal Show

The Charleston Bridal Show has made its return to the Lowcountry, offering couples a one-stop destination to plan their dream wedding. For its 18th year, the event is bringing together around 70 vendors, ranging from florists and caterers to photographers, bakeries, and more. The show is designed to help brides and grooms find everything they need for their special day in one place.

One of the Largest Shows Yet

Kathy Baxley-Stewart, the owner and producer of the event, shared that this year’s show is one of the largest summer editions they’ve had. She emphasized the convenience of the event, saying, “Brides could literally plan their wedding in one day.” While most couples might not finalize everything in a single visit, the wide range of vendors present makes it possible for couples to cover nearly every aspect of their wedding, all under one roof.

Unconventional Vendors for a Complete Wedding

In addition to the typical wedding vendors like florists and photographers, the bridal show also features some less common but important services, such as insurance agencies and real estate companies. Baxley-Stewart explained that some of these vendors even offer services for couples planning destination weddings, although they would need to cover additional travel fees.

Baxley-Stewart noted that while about 15% of attendees opt for destination weddings, the majority of couples choose to keep their celebrations local, in Charleston. The city’s unique charm, rich history, and numerous attractions make it an ideal location for couples looking to turn their wedding into a mini-vacation for family and friends.

Looking Ahead: January Show to Feature 110 Vendors

The next Charleston Bridal Show will take place in January and is expected to be the largest of their annual events. With around 110 vendors anticipated, it promises even more opportunities for couples to find the perfect services for their wedding day.

Baxley-Stewart also highlighted the growing number of wedding industry professionals moving to Charleston, bringing fresh ideas and new opportunities to the show each year. “We always have new vendors and new opportunities for people to be a vendor here,” she said.
