Charleston, S.C. – Authorities in Charleston County responded to a suspicious package reported Wednesday afternoon in downtown Charleston. The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was called to the scene in front of the Charleston County Courthouse around 2:30 p.m.
Road Closures and Safety Measures
During the investigation, law enforcement officials closed the intersections of King Street and Broad Street, as well as Queen Street and Meeting Street, to ensure public safety.
Scene Cleared and Roads Reopened
After a thorough investigation, the scene was cleared, and all affected roads have since reopened to traffic. Authorities did not provide further details on the package but assured the public that the situation was resolved safely.
