The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office reports that a road on Johns Island that had been closed due to an overturned truck has reopened.
Deputies said a dump truck carrying sand overturned on River Road near Brownswood Road shortly after 9 a.m., blocking all lanes of traffic.
Deputies confirmed shortly before 11 a.m. that the roadway had reopened after crews cleared the sand and towed the truck.
It was unclear whether anyone had been injured.
