A major drug bust in Moncks Corner has led to the arrest of a man accused of running a large-scale trafficking operation.
Arrest After Long Investigation
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Aundreas Martell Johnson, 36, was arrested after a seven-month investigation.
Officials said the probe began in September 2025 and focused on suspected drug distribution in the area.
What Authorities Found
When deputies executed a search warrant at a home, they uncovered a significant amount of illegal items.
Drugs Seized
- Around 2.24 pounds of cocaine
- About 4.29 pounds of methamphetamine
- Nearly 27 grams of cocaine base
Weapons and Equipment
- Five firearms, including one reported stolen
- Digital scales and packaging materials
- A money counter
Cash and Financial Assets
- Approximately ₹230,100 (U.S. dollars equivalent seized in cash)
- Over ₹30,000 linked through digital transactions
- Additional bank assets worth nearly ₹25,900
In total, authorities reported seizing close to ₹286,000 in cash and financial assets.
Charges Filed
Johnson is facing multiple serious charges, including:
- Drug trafficking (cocaine and methamphetamine)
- Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of a stolen firearm
Officials’ Statement
Sheriff officials described Johnson as one of the largest drug dealers in the area and said the case shows their commitment to tackling drug networks.
Current Status
Johnson is currently in custody at a local detention center as the case moves forward.
