A shocking case from New York has drawn attention after a woman was found guilty of using an explosive device in an attack on her boyfriend. The incident, which happened in 2024, has left the victim with life-changing injuries and could now result in a long prison sentence for the accused.
What Happened in the Incident?
According to prosecutors, the घटना began with an argument between Keyonna Waddell and her boyfriend on March 22, 2024. The disagreement took place at the victim’s apartment.
After the argument:
- The boyfriend asked her to leave
- Both individuals left the apartment
- The victim later returned home and went to sleep, believing he was alone
However, the situation took a dangerous turn while he was asleep.
Explosion Inside the Apartment
While resting, the victim was suddenly woken up by a strange hissing sound. When he checked, he saw flames in his bedroom. To his shock, he discovered a lit stick of dynamite.
In a desperate attempt to save himself:
- He tried to put out the fuse but failed
- He picked up the explosive to throw it out of the window
- The device exploded in his hand before he could get rid of it
The explosion caused severe injuries, including the loss of his hand.
Serious Injuries and Medical Treatment
After the blast, the victim ran outside in pain and shock. He later required major medical treatment.
Doctors had to:
- Perform surgery to remove his damaged hand
- Remove part of his arm due to the severity of the injuries
