ORLANDO, FL — A $250,000 Lamborghini was crushed by a pickup truck in a terrifying incident caught on video in a Lake Nona gym parking lot on Wednesday afternoon. The driver of the Lamborghini, Ramon Ferrer, narrowly escaped injury, crediting divine intervention and an issue with the truck for saving his life.
The Shocking Incident
Cellphone footage shows Ferrer’s Lamborghini being run over by a pickup truck driven by a woman. As the truck turned the corner, it continued driving over Ferrer’s car, even as he tried to reverse. Ferrer, who was looking for a parking spot at his gym in Lake Nona, described the terrifying moments: “She’s going kind of fast, so I’m literally stopping. I’m reversing. I guess she never saw me, and so she just ran through me.”
Ferrer’s Narrow Escape
Ferrer said he immediately jumped out of the car when he saw the truck’s wheel still spinning, fearing it would continue to crush him. “The only thing that actually saved me was God, of course, 100%, but another thing was her axle got stuck on my pillar on the windshield,” Ferrer explained. “If not, she would have just wrecked me over completely. It would have been a nightmare. I wouldn’t be here right now, which is kind of crazy.”
Heartbreak Over the Loss
Despite escaping unharmed, Ferrer was heartbroken over the damage to his luxury car. “I was able to buy the car, and that was a great, great feeling, and this happens five months later,” he said. Ferrer had owned the Lamborghini for less than half a year before the crash occurred.
Car at the Body Shop
The Lamborghini is now at a body shop for repairs, and Ferrer is still trying to make sense of what happened. “I don’t know how you can miss a whole car. I mean, yes, I’m slammed to the ground because it’s a Lamborghini, but I mean, still, how can you miss a car?” he questioned.
The Pickup Truck Driver
As of now, the identity of the pickup truck driver has not been released. It is unclear if she was issued a citation for the incident. The Orlando Police Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
