A 17-year-old pregnant teenager from Arizona was fatally shot while visiting San Diego early on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The victim, who was approximately 32 weeks pregnant, died at a local hospital despite emergency medical efforts.

Baby Saved Through Emergency C-Section

Officers responded to the 4900 block of Gardena Avenue around 1:10 a.m. and found the teen unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics transported her to the hospital, where doctors performed an emergency cesarean section. The newborn survived but remains in critical condition.

Suspect Arrested

Trevon Williams, 21, originally from Arizona, was arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene. Police found him hiding near 4900 September Street around 3 a.m. He faces multiple charges, including murder and attempted murder.

Incident Details

Detectives said the teen was staying at a short-term rental with her family during the visit. Williams, identified as the teen’s boyfriend, reportedly traveled separately to San Diego and allegedly shot her outside the rental property.
