Michael McHenry, 40, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend, Juliann Bachmann, 30, in Yaphank, New York.

Incident Details

Bachmann was found unresponsive in her car at a gas station around 7:25 a.m. on Saturday, May 16. She was transported to a hospital in Patchogue, where she was pronounced dead. Prosecutors allege that McHenry stabbed her in the neck and chest and then dragged her out of the vehicle.

Arrest and Legal Proceedings

McHenry was arrested on Saturday evening and arraigned on Sunday, May 17. He has been ordered held without bail. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the attack.
