According to police, officers from Edmond PD, Oklahoma City Police, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrived on the scene and found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Authorities say 10 victims were transported to various metro-area hospitals, while additional people who were injured went to hospitals on their own. Initial reports indicate at least 12 people were taken to hospitals for treatment, although the total number of people injured may still change.
A hospital spokesperson told the San Francisco Chronicle that:

Edmond police spokesperson Emily Ward described the situation as “very terrifying” and said authorities are working hard to identify those responsible. Ward added to CNN that the party was large and that most of the attendees appeared to be young adults.
A flyer shared on social media reportedly promoted the gathering as a “Sunday Funday” event near the lake, according to the Chronicle.
