A shocking incident at a thrift store in Kentucky has left people disturbed after a woman allegedly attacked another shopper and a staff member in broad daylight. The situation quickly turned violent, leading to serious injuries and police action.
Incident at Goodwill Store in Kentucky
The incident took place at a Goodwill store located on North 12th Street in Murray. According to the Murray Police Department, officers reached the spot around 1:36 p.m. on April 21 after receiving reports of a violent disturbance.
When police arrived, they found two victims. One person had suffered a stab wound, while another had been attacked with a shovel. The injured victim was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.
Who Is the Accused?
The accused, Madison Hinchey, 30, was taken into custody at the scene. She has been charged with:
- Attempted murder
- Second-degree assault
- Fourth-degree assault (minor injury)
After her arrest, she was sent to the Calloway County Jail, where she is currently being held.
What Happened During the Attack?
As per local reports, the situation became intense very quickly. Hinchey allegedly chased a woman inside the store and followed her to the loading dock area. There, she reportedly stabbed and even bit the victim.
When a store employee tried to stop the fight and calm things down, Hinchey allegedly attacked them using a snow shovel. This made the situation even more dangerous for everyone present.
Police officers also mentioned that when they reached the store, some employees were trying to physically restrain Hinchey to prevent further harm.

Reports suggest that the victim was stabbed in the chest, which is a serious injury. She was rushed to a medical facility by air for faster treatment. As of now, her identity has not been made public.
