Crash Breakdown
- Victims: Fire Chief Jeffory L. Buck and Assistant Chief Robert R. Shick Jr. (Walnuttown Fire Company) were in a UTV on Route 222’s shoulder when hit head-on by a southbound Toyota Camry around 6 p.m.
- Suspect: Driver Alexander Sepulveda-Rivera, 26 (from Bronx, NY), allegedly DUI, no license; swerved into them. Charged with homicide by vehicle (DUI), reckless driving, involuntary manslaughter. He and a passenger fled but were caught.
- Outcome: Both firefighters died at hospitals; autopsies April 6. Investigation ongoing.
