The Mount Pleasant Police Department is continuing to investigate a shooting involving multiple suspects that occurred more than two months ago.
Officers responded around 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 8 to reports of gunfire on Franklin Drive. When they arrived, they located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. Officers provided medical aid at the scene before the victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. Police say the victim was later released.
Multiple Suspects Believed Involved
Detectives and crime scene investigators determined that the victim’s home was struck multiple times by gunfire. Authorities believe the shots came from several suspects and that one round struck the victim.
Investigators have not released details about potential suspects but say the case remains active.
$5,000 Reward Offered for Information
Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mount Pleasant Police Department at 843-884-4176 and request Detective Sgt. Eckert or Detective Neese.
