Mt. Pleasant Police arrest two in a storage facility burglary series; $500,000 recovered.

Authorities in Mount Pleasant have arrested two Charleston residents in connection with a string of storage unit break-ins that led to the recovery of nearly $500,000 in stolen property. The arrests follow an investigation into multiple burglaries reported earlier this month.

Suspects Charged with Multiple Counts

Dylan Thomas Rickard, 30, and Alina Mar Hall, 33, both of Charleston, were each charged with six counts of burglary. Detectives identified the suspects after responding Monday to a reported break-in at a local storage facility and linking the case to previous burglary investigations.

Investigation Ongoing, Police Urge Public to Check Units

The Mount Pleasant Police Department executed a search warrant at the suspects’ home, recovering a large quantity of stolen property, including a stolen rifle and items believed to have been taken from locations across the Lowcountry. Officials say the investigation remains active and additional charges are possible as more victims and property are identified. Residents who rent storage units in the area are encouraged to check their belongings and report any suspicious activity.
