Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded Friday evening to a report of shots fired in the area of Spruill Avenue and Success Street in North Charleston.
Police were dispatched to the scene just before 7 p.m. Lt. Anthony King stated that, at this time, a shooting has not been confirmed. Authorities also clarified that officers were not involved in the reported incident.
The situation remains under investigation, and further details have not yet been released.
