A motorcyclist died in a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Ravenel, South Carolina, after striking a deer on Hyde Park Road.
Crash Details
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 6400 block of Hyde Park Road, where deputies found an overturned motorcycle. Initial investigations by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office indicate the rider, the sole occupant, hit a deer, leading to the fatal collision, and was pronounced dead at the scene by Charleston County EMS.
Victim Identification
The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity and will do so at the appropriate time.
