Darryl Antwain Scott Sr., a 30-year-old FedEx worker from Ladson, S.C., faces multiple felony charges for lottery fraud confirmed by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Incident Details

On January 8, 2026, Scott allegedly took a scratch-off ticket from a damaged package while sorting at a North Charleston FedEx center. He then tried cashing it at Parker’s Kitchen on Ladson Road in Summerville that same day.

Arrest and Charges

Scott was booked into Dorchester County Detention Center on January 29. Charges include intent to defraud and counterfeit game tickets; the 1st Circuit Solicitor’s Office will prosecute.

Recent Context

This marks the second Lowcountry lottery fraud arrest in two weeks. On January 14, SLED charged Denise Antionette Maxwell, 35, of Goose Creek, for stealing and attempting to cash scratch-offs from convenience stores in Charleston and Dorchester Counties.
