Savannah-area governments, parks, and colleges are closing or altering schedules this weekend due to predicted snow in coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry.
Savannah State University (SSU)
All campus events and non-essential operations are canceled through Sunday; to-go meals available Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 7-9 a.m. via Elior. Dining reopens Sunday at noon; Monday updates Sunday afternoon.
City of Savannah Recreation Services
Youth basketball games postponed Saturday; community centers close at 2 p.m. Saturday. “K-Pop Warriors Live Show” first performance shifts to 1:30 p.m. (original 6:30 p.m. tickets honored); second at 4 p.m. unchanged.
Effingham County Parks
Baker Pond Community Park, Sand Hill Recreation Complex fully closed after 10:30 p.m. Friday through weekend; Pineora bathrooms closed same timeframe. Reopen Monday.
Other Lowcountry Closures
- H+STEM Day rescheduled to February 21; museum open modified Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Beaufort County facilities and convenience centers closed Saturday-Sunday, reopen Monday; ferry monitors weather.
- Hilton Head/Beaufort airports normal but check flights.
- First Presbyterian Church Hilton Head: online-only Sunday service at 10 a.m.
