North Charleston Police arrested Reynaldo Lopez, a 22-year-old from Hanahan, South Carolina, following a shooting outside a Sunoco/7-Eleven on Rivers Avenue that injured two people.

Officers responded to gunfire reports around 2 a.m. Sunday at 5710 Rivers Avenue, finding two gunshot victims outside the store who were hospitalized. Investigators recovered a firearm from nearby bushes equipped with a switch for fully automatic fire.

Arrest Details

Lopez faces charges of unlawful possession of a machine gun after police identified him as the suspect. He was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
