Jedburg, South Carolina – A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking on Jedburg Road early Friday morning.
Master Trooper William Bennett of the South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred around 2:37 a.m. near the intersection with My Lane, roughly three miles west of Summerville.
A 2018 Jeep Wrangler was driving west on Jedburg Road when it collided with a man strolling on the road.
Trooper Bennett reported that the pedestrian died at the site. The driver of the Jeep was not wounded.
Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell identified the pedestrian as Milly Asencio, a 25-year-old from Summerville.
