Chester, South Carolina A suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that injured one person in Chester is now in custody, according to deputies.
Chester County deputies responded to a shooting on Goldmine Road near Connor Road in Chester around 2:51 p.m. Saturday.
One person was shot. The victim’s condition is currently unknown.
Deputies say the suspect, later identified as Michael Ray Hood, 55, fled the scene before officers arrived. The sheriff’s office drone and bloodhound team were looking for the suspect. The York County Sheriff’s Office K9 Tracking Team also assisted with the search.
Deputies claim to have found Hood around 7:30 p.m.
