Coast Guard Response
According to officials, a boat crew from USCG Station Charleston and a helicopter crew from Air Station Savannah were dispatched after the distress call came in.
The boat crew helped de-water the vessel
They then towed it to Safe Harbor Marina for safety
No injuries were reported
Seamless Rescue Efforts
The U.S. Coast Guard Southeast praised the coordinated operation, stating:
“Whether offshore or inland, USCG Southeast District crews work seamlessly to ensure a rapid, coordinated response whenever mariners are in distress.”
