The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 7:15 p.m. for Hudson and Union counties in New Jersey, as well as Kings (Brooklyn) and New York (Manhattan) counties in New York. Radar tracked the storm over Bayonne at 6:39 p.m., with it expected to move toward Jersey City and Manhattan’s Lower East Side by 6:45 p.m.
