Incident Details
A man was found fatally shot in a wooded area off Harrison Road in Macon, Georgia, on Sunday morning. Authorities responded to the call at 9:24 a.m. from Macon-Bibb E-911, reporting that a male had been shot near the 6000 block of Harrison Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to a medical facility, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigation Underway
The victim’s identity has not been confirmed, and no other injuries have been reported in connection with the shooting. Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley confirmed the death. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and working to determine what led up to the gunfire. Investigators remained on the scene throughout the day on Sunday.
