A 46-year-old man from Elgin, Illinois, was arrested on Monday after a wild police chase across multiple counties in Indiana. The man was caught driving a stolen truck and crashing into a police vehicle, with a juvenile passenger also found inside. Thankfully, the chase ended without any major injuries.
Chase Begins in Lebanon, Indiana
The incident started around 11:30 a.m. when an off-duty Indiana State Trooper spotted a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado being driven dangerously in Lebanon. When the officer tried to stop the vehicle, the driver, identified as Rickey Frank, sped away and refused to pull over. He headed north on Interstate 65, leading police on a high-speed chase.
Reckless Driving Through Local Streets
Frank exited the highway at State Road 38 and began weaving through city streets, trying to avoid the police. Officers from Tippecanoe County later spotted the truck on Sagamore Parkway. The chase continued onto Schuyler Avenue, and eventually, Frank drove into a fire station parking lot. There, he hit a sheriff’s vehicle and then crashed into a utility pole.
Suspect Taken Into Custody Safely
After the crash, officers quickly moved in and safely arrested Frank at the scene. A juvenile passenger was also found inside the truck, raising more concern about the danger the suspect created during the chase.

Police said Rickey Frank had several outstanding warrants from different Midwestern states, including Boone County, Indiana. He is also believed to be involved in a theft earlier that day in Boone County. The charges he now faces include:
