Oak Brook, IL – Get ready for some family-friendly fun in DuPage County this Saturday! The Friends of the Forest Preserve District are bringing back their signature Duck Race at Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve in Oak Brook. The race promises excitement, prizes, and the chance to support local conservation efforts with every duck purchased.
Event Details
The Duck Race will take place on Saturday, August 9 at 3 p.m. along the restored Salt Creek, right near the Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center in Oak Brook. Fewer than 100 ducks remain available out of the 250 offered for purchase, so be sure to grab yours before they sell out.
How It Works
Duck Price: Each rubber duck is $25, or you can get five for $100.
Race Day: On race day, each duck will be tagged with a unique number corresponding to the purchaser. The first three ducks to cross the finish line will win exciting prizes.
Prizes include:
1st Place: $500 cash
2nd Place: A symbolic Blanding’s turtle adoption, valued at $100
3rd Place: Forest Preserve swag worth $25

Duck Sales Deadline: All duck sales must be completed online by 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, or until all ducks are claimed.
