Angola, IN — Two individuals were arrested early Sunday morning after police discovered a stolen truck, methamphetamine, and marijuana in a coordinated operation involving local and state law enforcement in Angola.
According to the Indiana State Police, Angola Police responded around 2 a.m. to a report of a stolen vehicle spotted near North Wayne Street. Officers found the truck parked at a Shell gas station near the corner of North Wayne and Harcourt Street, where they detained both the driver and passenger without incident.
False ID and Drug Discovery
The driver initially provided false identification, but the situation escalated when an Indiana State Police K-9 unit detected the presence of drugs inside the truck. A probable cause search led officers to discover suspected marijuana in the vehicle. The passenger was allegedly found carrying suspected methamphetamine.
