The school issued a statement after a missing seventh grader wandered off campus.

Greenville, SC police confirmed a 13-year-old girl from Legacy Early College wandered off campus around 9:45 a.m. Thursday but was found safe about one mile away.

School and authorities thanked the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, faculty, staff, and watchful neighbors for the quick community response.
