November will begin sunny and slightly chilly, with lows dropping into the low 40s for the first time since late March, thanks to clear skies and calmer winds that will allow things to cool down a little more than they did on Thursday night. We’ll then climb into the upper 60s in the afternoon, with lots of sunshine as high pressure moves overhead.
We’ll see additional cloud cover build in overnight, and Sunday morning will be a little warmer — in the mid-to-upper 40s. Cloud cover will continue to thicken throughout the day, with low pressure forming somewhere off the Carolina coast and maybe sending some showers our way in the afternoon, with better possibilities of rain in the evening and overnight as the low deepens. How far up the coast the low rotates will have a significant impact on how much rain falls. The low is expected to form off the coast of North Carolina, with rain totals of around or less than a half-inch. If the low spins up further south, we could get a lot more rain, but it looks unlikely at this stage. We’ll keep an eye on it, just in case. Otherwise, enjoy your weekend!
