Dorchester County, South Carolina — Dorchester County deputies have arrested two persons in connection with a neighborhood gunshot that injured one person in late August.
According to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement was contacted on August 28 that someone had arrived at a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds.
Investigators discovered that the victim had been shot on Roberta Drive in Summerville. The next day, August 29, deputies arrested Kayla Leanne Merideth, 22, for obstructing justice.
Elbert Rudel Aiken III, 32, was arrested on Tuesday, September 16, by the US Marshals Task Force and charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
