North Charleston, South Carolina – The American Red Cross is aiding a Kent Avenue family following a weekend fire that damaged their house.
Just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, the North Charleston Fire Department responded to a complaint of a fire at a single-story home on Kent Avenue.
The Red Cross said its disaster-trained volunteers are assisting the family with food, clothing, shelter, and resources following the fire.
Kent Avenue was temporarily restricted to traffic while emergency workers responded to the incident. The cause is being investigated.
