The Hold My Tea Bar Crawl is back in Summerville, South Carolina, and it’s set to be a week of fun and flavor! From September 15 through 21, locals and visitors are invited to explore the town’s vibrant food and beverage scene while enjoying creative cocktails inspired by Summerville’s claim to fame as the Birthplace of Sweet Tea.
Sweet Tea Cocktail Contest
A dozen of Summerville’s best bars and restaurants will compete in the Sweet Tea Cocktail Contest, each serving up their own twist on the iconic drink. Whether you’re a long-time fan of sweet tea or new to the scene, there will be plenty of refreshing and unique takes to try.
“Summerville is proud to celebrate its place as the Birthplace of Sweet Tea,” said Cassie Ford, Tourism Director at Visit Summerville. “The Hold My Tea Bar Crawl invites residents and visitors alike to discover the creativity of our bartenders and the charm of our community.”
Sip, Stroll, and Vote
Bar crawl participants will have the chance to sip, stroll, and savor the delicious drinks at each participating location, all while voting for their favorite creations. The event will feature several ways to get involved:
People’s Choice Award: Voters can cast their ballots using a QR code to help choose the crowd’s favorite drink.
Critic’s Choice Award: A panel of industry professionals and local personalities will select their top picks.
Bingo Game: With plenty of prizes up for grabs, guests can play bingo as they hop from one venue to the next.
