Greenville, North Carolina — Clubway Apartments’ occupants are still fighting poor living circumstances.
One of Barbara Gaskin’s neighbors had a terrifying experience just before Thanksgiving.
“Their bathroom ceiling had collapsed,” explained Gaskins. “It had hit the tenant and her grandkids, so it was five people that went to the emergency room.”
The city has advised tenants to give the property owner time to resolve the issues. Gaskins says that’s not good enough.
“I’m asking that something be done, and it needs to be done as soon as possible because I mean, we’re at the point now that you know this is dangerous,” said Gaskins. “This has become a dangerous situation.”
WNCT contacted the owners of Clubway Apartments, but received no answer.
