Florence, S.C. On Saturday, Florence County Fire Rescue (FCFR) responded to a big woods fire in the Olanta area.
Just before 3:30 p.m., firefighters discovered an uncontrolled wildfire on Central Road behind McKenzie’s Auto Repair.
Because of the circumstances surrounding the fire, numerous units worked together, including the South Carolina Forestry Commission, which deployed a forestry plow, according to FCFR.
Law enforcement from the Forestry Commission was also asked to look into the cause, which was deemed suspicious.
