For more than 25 years, the Pee Dee Fall Plant and Flower Festival has helped usher in the season’s colors, and it has grown each year since.
According to event organizers, this year’s version, which will take place at the Pee Dee State Farmers Market, has something for everyone.
“I come out here every year. I love the plants, and they also have tasty treats like popcorn. “We just finished ice cream, so we’re having a good time,” attendee Deborah Crider stated.
Roberta Dukes and a friend traveled from Kingstree to see what this year’s festival had to offer.
“I come out here for everything. I enjoy looking at the plants, various decorations, and other items. I enjoy buying some of the fruits and vegetables,” she said.
According to market manager Bob Sager, the event also strives to be cost-effective.
“There is no admission fee, and we have excellent parking facilities. “We work hard to make it easy for people to park and get in and out of here,” he explained.
This year’s event runs until 5 p.m. Sunday.
