Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have identified the victim of a shooting that occurred in northwest Charlotte on Tuesday.
Just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, police arrived to the incident on Thriftwood Drive near Freedom Christian Centre.
A homicide investigation was begun when a male victim was declared dead at the scene due to gunshot wounds, according to the CMPD.
The victim has been named as Lindy Kompeak Hoeun, 34.
According to church leaders, Hoeun is not a member or affiliate of the Freedom Christian Centre.
No other information has been made accessible.
