Police are hunting for a missing 13-year-old in South Carolina.

Authorities in Marion County are searching for an endangered missing 13-year-old who left his home Sunday afternoon after reportedly threatening self-harm. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office identified the teen as Jamar Reaves of Mullins.

Last Seen Near Todd School Area

Deputies said Reaves left his home on foot around 1:35 p.m. and has been the focus of an extensive search for several hours. He was last seen wearing an oversized camouflage jacket, a gray shirt and blue sweatpants. Officials say he may be barefoot or possibly wearing flip-flops.

Law enforcement is urging residents in the Todd School area to check their security cameras for any possible sightings that could assist in locating him.

Search Ongoing, Public Asked to Call 911

Authorities stress that anyone who encounters Reaves should call 911 immediately. The search remains ongoing as deputies continue working to safely locate the missing teenager.
