North Charleston, South Carolina – On Saturday, North Charleston will celebrate its 12th annual Harvest Festival, which will include trick-or-treating in the street, costume contests, and a variety of family-friendly activities.
The seasonal festival, which includes free entry and parking, will take place on Oct. 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Olde Village of North Charleston at Park Circle.
Flash Mob, a Charleston-based party band, will provide live music, as well as games, crafts, inflatables, and roaming entertainers.
An artist market will include local artists, crafters, and makers, and nearby restaurants will provide special food and drinks.
Beginning at 2:00 p.m., East Montague Avenue will be blocked to vehicular traffic between Jenkins Avenue and Virginia Avenue for the length of the event.
Kids aged 12 and under can get a free treat bag and spend the afternoon trick-or-treating on the street while supplies last. Crosswind Farms will also have a pop-up petting zoo, picture booths, and costume contests for a variety of age groups and pets.
The contests are free to enter, and prizes will be provided by the City of North Charleston Recreation Department and the Park Circle Business Collective. Participants in all categories should be prepared to line up for judging at 5:45 p.m., with the contests beginning at 6:00 p.m., according to organizers.
