North Charleston, South Carolina – The North Charleston Police Department is collecting food for the forthcoming ‘Day of Thanksgiving’ turkey handout.
The agency stated that it intends to feed 1,000 needy families this Thanksgiving.
“If you find it in your heart to bless a family this holiday season, we invite you to drop off any of the food items … by November 9th,” the police added.
Items include canned yams, green beans, corn, and cranberry sauce; mashed potato packets; boxed stuffing mix; gravy cans or jars; and cake or brownie mix boxes.
