North Charleston Police arrested 30-year-old Jesus Francisco Garcia Diaz Saturday night for threatening a Fuller Street resident with a long gun from his pickup truck.
Threat Incident
Around 8 p.m. near Piedmont Avenue, the victim on his porch saw Garcia Diaz rack the weapon, prompting him to hide, draw his handgun, and fire two warning shots into the ground. Garcia Diaz yelled threats, left briefly, then returned past the home, yelling death threats before fleeing again.
Pursuit and Charges
Officers spotted his vehicle, pursued after he failed to stop, and detained him on I-26 near College Park Road exit. He’s charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, failure to stop for blue lights and sirens, and pointing and presenting a firearm; booked into Al Cannon Detention Center. The victim faces no charges.
