A house fire in Beaufort early Friday morning caused concern, but quick action by firefighters helped prevent injuries and further damage.
Fire Breaks Out in Shadow Moss Community
According to the Beaufort/Port Royal Fire Department and the Parris Island Fire Department, crews responded to a structure fire in the Shadow Moss community.
Emergency teams reached the scene around 4:03 a.m. and found flames coming through the roof of a one-story home, indicating that the fire had already spread significantly.

Firefighters acted quickly to control and extinguish the fire. Their fast response helped stop the flames from spreading further and ensured the safety of those inside.
